WHAT IS SEEING MONEY?

SEEING MONEY is Portland's first art event devoted to the theme of money. It will feature the work of more than 125 artists from the Northwest, the United States, Canada and Latin America. JSG Boggs, Ross Palmer Beecher, Andy Warhol, Flechemuller, Brad Rogers, Kenna Moser, Jessica Diamond, Tom Otterness and more. Don't forget to visit THE SEEING MONEY GALLERY

SEEING MONEY is more than gazing at two-dimensional art on a wall. SEEING MONEY brings art into the third dimension. Upon entry, visitors will receive exhibit currency, which they will "spend" in various interactive installations designed to raise their awareness. Spending choices will reflect their values and beliefs about money. Visitors will determine how much they spend on themselves, on charity, on savings and on the pursuit of dreams.

SEEING MONEY was conceived by Curator Helen Gundlach and is a project of The Portland Old Town Arts and Culture Foundation.
